Static security guards are uniformed security personnel that remain onsite at one site for an agreed period of time, often during evenings, but can include day times. Security signs can also be installed around the site to act as a deterrent.

The static security guards are often located within a client's control room that will also house a CCTV system. Their duties include regular security checks around the site.

As well as security checks, the static security guard can be used to open and close property at the start and end of the day, taking responsibility for ensuring the property is secure
